This course provides an in-depth exploration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within the British renewable energy sector, focusing on their significance in driving sustainable practices. Participants will examine the UK’s energy policy and regulatory framework, the roles of key regulatory bodies, and the impact of support mechanisms on sector growth. The course also addresses upcoming UK and EU ESG regulations, such as Labour’s green economy reforms and the EU's Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), analysing their implications for renewable energy projects. Additionally, it explores ESG frameworks and governance practices to enhance transparency, accountability, and social responsibility, equipping participants with the knowledge to navigate and contribute to the evolving landscape of renewable energy development.
